Astronomy

Astrophotography is a very different technique to any other. The images you see in this gallery are, mostly, a combining of many exposures of the "target" whilst tracking the sky with computerised telescope mounts and then using some specialist software to stack and create the final images. If you are interested in taking up this fascinating hobby, Northern Optics in Scunthorpe are well worth a visit for excellent guidance and very good value. The web site is http://shop.northernoptics.co.uk/

We also have a North Lincs Astro Society which meets on the first Monday of each month at Far Ings National Nature Reserve (near the Humber Bridge). Please see http://www.northlincsastro.org for more details

See my other website https://annexatchurchviewbarn.com/ for details of how to come and stay and spend some time with the observatory.
